Horror movie? What horror movie?
NEVER, watch 'Umum/General' rated horror movies.
At least, not in Malaysia.
Maybe I'm too immature looking, but try as I could, I can never pass off as 18 at the movies. Yes I tried. They'd always ask for my IC.
But I absolutely LOVE horror movies. I cannot go in and watch nevermind, I go watch Umum 'horror' movies. But the thing is, Umum horror movies are always SO BAD!
First, it was The Ghost Inside. It wasn't a horror movie, it was more like a comedy, with the 'ghosts' and 'spirits' so fake and unconvincing, it's laughable. In fact, laugh we did, real loudly throughout the movie too. RM10 down the drain.
And now, DarkWater was a dissappointment, too. I dunno, it builds and builds up the suspense, and when it reaches the climax... ho-hum. It happened so fast, blink and you'll miss it. Both the movie trailer and poster are decieving. They mislead you into thinking it is THE scariest, creepiest, horror-filled movie of the year. But no, it isn't.
Funny thing happened though. They showed RedEye instead of DarkWater, and some people actually went through the first few minutes of RedEye withought even realizing the wrong movie was showing. Laughable!
